Cornwall's A&E to improve waiting times rank by changing they...
Cornwall's A&E unit, which was once rated England's second worst, could be set for a dramatic rise up the rankings - by changing the way it counts how long patients wait.
Without either improving its actual performance or spending more money, the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust (RCHT) will, on paper at least, have significantly less people waiting a long time for treatment because it will add people using minor injuries units - which take much less time - to its A&E figures.

But Truro isn't even among the three biggest settlements in the county, while it also doesn't boast an airport, adequate links to the A30, a particularly vibrant nightlife scene or a large university, like some other Cornish towns.
