Why these four towns could be Cornwall's capital and county town...
Truro is Cornwall's capital and county town and rightly so, it can be argued.
It is Cornwall's only city, its centre for administration, jobs, retail, media, leisure, sport and justice - and it does have a cathedral after all.
But Truro isn't even among the three biggest settlements in the county, while it also doesn't boast an airport, adequate links to the A30, a particularly vibrant nightlife scene or a large university, like some other Cornish towns.

The hissing reptile - which is two feet long - was spotted clambering out of the water at Chew Valley reservoir in Somerset. Both petrol and diesel have dropped in price since the beginning of the year when, according to the RAC, the average cost per litre of unleaded petrol hit 117.23p with diesel reaching 119.63p.
