Police were forced to use a Taser and spray to restrain a man who was running amok with a knife at his partner's flat. The court heard that was the last time the 33-year-old saw his partner Penelope Harris before she was killed in a car crash on the A30 just days later. Lifeboat crews were called out to help a 40-foot yacht which was disabled after a fishing net wrapped around its propeller off Perranporth. Newquay's RNLI lifeboat volunteers were called-out just after midday on Sunday (July 2), along with colleagues from Padstow lifeboat station, to assist a yacht which had four people onboard.
