A murder hunt was launched following a suspicious death outside a pub. A man has now been charged with manslaughter. Energy bill cap to be considered by Ofgem
Consumers on low incomes in Cornwall could see their energy bills capped under plans being considered by regulator Ofgem.
Under the proposal, a price cap on energy bills could be extended to two million more households on low incomes.
A limit on the cost of gas and electricity for those on pre-payment meters already saves about four million people £80 a year.
The proposals come after a much wider cap in the Conservative manifesto was absent from the Queen's Speech.

A family are facing fines of £300 after staying for just 12 minutes in a car park outside a Starbucks coffee shop on the A30. They were stung with fines for each of their three cars after pulling into the car park for a family rendezvous at the outlet at Chiverton Cross near Truro.They went to buy a coffee but discovered the shop had recently closed for the day. Trewoon residents told to keep windows closed after Gwindra...
Residents are being urged to keep their windows and doors closed after a fire broke out at an industrial estate near St Austell last night.
The blaze at the Gwindra Industrial Estate, which involved tyres, was tackled by fire crews from St Austell and Mevagissey.
The firefighters used jets to prevent the fire from spreading, but smoke from the fire is affecting residents in nearby Trewoon.

Rail passengers heading in and out Cornwall are facing severe delays this evening after a signalling problem at Exeter.
Many services are being terminated at Exeter or Taunton and buses are being used instead. It is understood the problem will last several hours.

A major improvement to Cornwall's road network has been confirmed by the Government which has included the dualling of the A30 between Chiverton and Carland Cross in a £6billion transport spending spree.
Minister Jesse Norman has revealed that the scheme will go ahead which will remove one of the last bottlenecks on the main A30 route in Cornwall and leave only the section of single carriageway between St Erth and Marazion in Penwith.
