St Agnes beacon gorse fire keeps crews busy this morning after...
It could be seen from as far away as Truro and St Ives yesterday but this morning a gorse fire at St Agnes is still being tackled by firefighters.
More than 50 calls were made to the fire service following the outbreak of the blaze on the Beacon at around 3pm.
Overnight the incident has been scaled down to two crews from Newquay and Tolvaddon.
They are using hosereels and beaters to damp down and extinguish hot spots.

Fraudsters drain £10,000 from bank account of St Keverne...
A man has spoken of how he was fleeced out of more than £10,000 in a bogus BT call centre scam.
The fraudsters were able to steal the cash without even asking for his bank details.
Tony Brown, 74, said he hoped his experience will now warn others not to fall for the same trap.

Water carriers brought in to tackle gorse fire - live
Firefighters are tackling a blaze at St Agnes Beacon this afternoon.
More than 30 calls have been received about the large gorse fire, with smoke being spotted from as far away as Illogan.
The fire service has confirmed that around 100m of gorse was on fire when they arrived at the scene.
Crews from both Perranporth and Tolvaddon were sent to tackle the fire at around 3pm, using beaters to put out the flames.

A woman has been airlifted to hospital after being trapped by part of a falling cliff at Harlyn Bay near Padstow. Coastguards, police, ambulance and fire crews were called to the bay at about 10.15am on Tuesday.
