A Conservative politician has said that students studying at a south west university should not be allowed to vote there.
Councillor David Fletcher, who acted as a teller for Tory candidate Oliver Colvile, has written a letter to the Plymouth Herald saying that he witnessed an "unprecedented volume of young people flooding the polling booths" and that students of the city's university should not be able to vote there.

Exmoor body mystery: Victim may have spent time in Bude shortly...
A mystery body found on Exmoor 15 years ago may be that of a man from the Bude area according to police who are launching a new national appeal to help identify him.
Officers from Avon and Somerset Police say there is evidence to suggest the man suffered a violent assault before his death, some time between 1999 and 2000.
The body was found buried and wrapped in plastic bin liners in Halse Lane near the village of Winsford, Somerset, on March 3, 2002.

London Grenfell Tower fire death toll rises and horrific details...
The death toll from a fire which engulfed an apartment block in London has risen to 12 – although it may climb higher as the emergency services begin the difficult task of examining the smouldering remains.
Grenfell Tower in west London caught fire in the early hours of this morning. The 24-storey tower block was soon a huge mass of flames.

As the tide pulled slowly back in the busy seaside port of St Ives today, it revealed a striking sight – the top half of a submerged car.
Crowds gathered along the beach and Smeaton's Pier to watch the brand-new pick-up truck emerge from the sparkling blue water.

A St Austell grandfather died in hospital last year following a number of "systematic failures" in his medical treatment, an inquest has heard.
Terrence George, 72, was rushed to Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro, by ambulance on January 3, 2016, after collapsing at his home in Polgooth.

New figures just released by the NHS show that the county has one of the UK's lowest take up rates of smear tests which can detect the early stages of cervical cancer.

Police in Cornwall have claimed a major victory in the fight against an organised criminal drugs gang after five people were arrested in two simultaneous raids. Member of drug gang went from Penzance to Exeter to attack rival...
A member of a gang who repeatedly stabbed a rival drug dealer boasted about the attack on Facebook and said the victim was 'only a little London muppet'.
Matthew Henney made the comments in a message to a friend after travelling to Exeter from Cornwall to take part in the attack with friend William Toohey.
They were allegedly part of a five-strong group who burst into a house where rival dealer Connor Cain was staying and stabbed him repeatedly in the chest and legs.
