A pet cat has been reunited with is family more than 150 miles away after taking a six-month 'holiday' to Cornwall. Rio the cat's owners said he had been missing from home in Bristol for six months after they were contacted by a local animal charity. Locals have reacted with fury after the town centre roads in Falmouth were gridlocked on Friday afternoon when a bus got stuck. A video posted on Facebook by community page Love Falmouth shows traffic queuing all the way up Killigrew Street, Market Strand and High Street during the Friday rush hour. A man has been jailed for perverting the course of justice after he volunteered to be electronically tagged in place of his housemate. The judge in the case said the sentence must send a clear message to those who attempt to abuse the curfew tagging system – used by courts as an alternative to prison – that they will face jail themselves.
