A St Austell hairdresser is likely to have died after breast implant surgery caused the flare-up of an extremely rare disease which in turn led to a catastrophic organ failure, an inquest heard.
Kandi du Cros was admitted to Royal Cornwall Hospital (RCH) at Treliske in January 2014 after her health started to deteriorate rapidly with flu-like symptoms, high fever and pain.

Man trapped against bridge wall by his own car after St Erme...
A crash early this morning left a man pinned against a bridge by his own car.
Seventeen firefighters rushed to an incident near St Erme, Truro, where the man was trapped between the car and a bridge wall.
Teams from Truro and Perranporth and the Rescue Tender from Tolvaddon used crash rescue equipment to release him.
Once free the casualty was left in the care of ambulance crew.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of drug dealing after they were stopped by police on the A30. A search by armed officers found that the car was full of drugs including cocaine.A vehicle, which was believed to be heading into Newquay, was stopped on the A30 at Roche. Part of a house has suddenly collapsed in a Cornish village. Two walls, a chimney and part of the roof came tumbling down at the cottage at Egloshayle near Wadebridge at about 7am.
Locals said the cob home, which was believed to be about 300 years old, was sold last year and nobody has lived in it since. The previous owners were said to have lived there for about 30 years.
