Excavations at Tintagel Castle reveal that Cornwall kings feasted...
Early Cornish kings feasted on a diet of oysters, roast pork and fine wine, dining and drinking from bowls imported from Turkey and glass goblets from Spain, excavations at Tintagel Castle have shown.
The evidence of the luxurious dining was unearthed by the Cornwall Archaeological Unit (CAU) as part of the first research excavations that have been carried out in decades at Tintagel Castle.

A police car has been completely destroyed by a fire on the A38 near Exeter.
Shocking footage has been shared of an incident that has currently shut two of the four lanes of the northbound A38 near Telegraph Hill.

The parents of two Cornish school pupils have been tagged to make sure they stay at home overnight after failing to send their children to school.
The couple, who cannot be named, were sentenced after their two children missed dozens of lessons at their Truro primary school.

The trial of two men who are accused of murdering a man by stabbing in St Austell is underway at Truro Crown Court.
Three residents of the town's Cosgarne Hall hostel were arrested and charged with the murder of Stephen Bull, 31, earlier this year.
His body was found by an early morning dog walker at a children's play park near the Truro Road hostel on January 12.

In just one month a total of 122 crimes were reported to police in Falmouth. There were a range of offences reported in the area we examined from Ponsharden to Pendennis Headland and Maenporth, according to the latest figures available from Devon and Cornwall Police.

The mother of a missing teenager who hasn't been seen in four days is pleading with her son to come home.
Finnian Layland-Stratfield, 17,
was last seen between 6pm and 6.30pm on Saturday by a walker on the cliffs above Hole Beach in Tintagel. A rucksack belonging to the former Truro College student was found the next day.
